Supported Athlete: Josefina Kaderabek

Dedication, determination and strength are the first things that come to mind when we think of Josefina Kaderabek. Josefina’s first true passion is her horses and she lives that every day as the primary trainer, rider & coach (read owner) of her own small business, Balance In Motion Equine. She is a true purist, instead of running with a watch she runs with joy in her heart and while we know racing isn’t the be-all end-all for her, we think that passion shows in the impressive list of race results she has piled up. Winning a number of races and always pushing the front of the pack, we know there is an inner fire to compete but always with a level of grace and gratitude that would make even the fiercest competitor happy to finish a spot behind her. In 2017 Josefina was involved in a very unfortunate accident with one of her beloved horses resulting in injuries that doctor’s believed would never allow her to walk normal again let alone run. But with the inner-qualities Josie possesses, her fate would be up to her and not what anyone told her. And wouldn’t you know it, only two short years later she was back at it finishing an incredible 4th woman at the Canadian Death Race with a sub-17hr finish, completing a truly remarkable comeback from a life-altering experience. So much for never running again, what a true inspiration! Needless to say, with the kind of character individual Josefina is, we are humbled and honored to call her a friend and couldn’t be happier to have her on our team.
