Visual: Pronation vs Overpronation

In this video Dr. Ray McClanahan, DPM and founder of Correct Toes™ gives a breakdown of pronation, how and why it happens, and uses a very simple but powerful visual to show the negative effect that most traditional or unnatural shoes (shoes with raised heels, tapered toe boxes and rigid toe springs) can have on this otherwise natural movement of the foot's joints.

If you've been told you pronate or are unsure and would like to understand it better, this video does a very simple and effective job of helping give clarification to an all too often misunderstood movement. The take home message from our perspective is to make the conscious choice to wear natural footwear or end up dealing with the consequences.
